"The Author And The Narrator album blog"
A place for short stories,song lyrics,song meanings,drawings,photographs and other fun stuff associated with the author and the narrator album.
"Now They Apprehend Each Other"
This is a Visual & music project with a series of photographs of small rooms and small scenes constructed by marcus cotten with music composed and played on piano by marcus cotten to coexist with the visuals.The photographs and music work together to tell a small story.

"CUSTOM INSTRUMENT CREATED"
Recently a sound experiment was hosted in which Marcus attempted to create his on custom instrument.If you would like to see how that experiment went you can check out a Demonstration Video of marcus playing/demonstrating the custom instrument "in the video section" as well as find out more info on why it was created and how it works....just click the picture.

Channel in Channel out gets a 2nd nomination for another Qwartz Music Award
Channel in Channel out aka marcus cotten is nominated for another Qwartz electronic Music And New Media Award,this time in the category for best experimentation for his album "The Author And The Narrator".You can now go listen to the full albums nominated and vote for the nominated albums online.We would love to be one of the lucky ones to take the award and prize home for either categorie so go by and vote for channel in channel out in either categories marcus is nominated

Channel in Channel out nominated for a Qwartz Music Award
Channel in Channel out aka Marcus Cotten is nominated for a Qwartz Electronic Music And New Media Award in the category of "best track" for the song "calculate the surveillance".The jury listened to 3,247 selected tracks blind folded before deciding on the nominated tracks.The offical ceremony will take place on March 29,2012 at the prestigious parisian venue the 104 centquatre in Paris,France.
You now can vote for the nominated artists online,voting ends february 7th.If you would like to vote for Marcus Cotten to win the prize and award then you can do that here at the link : http://qwartz.fr/2012/01/02/qwartz-8-titretrack-cat/ all you have to do to vote is find "Calculate The Surveillance by Channel in Channel out" select the track and scroll down where it says vote and you have done it :) We sure would like to take home that award so don't forget to vote.

On The Radio
The year 2011 has been good.I am happy to announce that every song from my new album "The Author And The Narrator" at some point has been played on a radio station, since may 2011 to the present.I would also like to say thank you to all the radio stations and dj's who have shown their support for the album and shared my music with new people across the world.I also would like to say thank you to everyone who has shown their support in anyway for the album and my project channel in channel out i truly greatly greatly appreciate it...

Planters,Stashers,Recipients is now finished!. I am excited to share it with you all and i hope you guys will enjoy it.This short film stems from the idea of portraying or depicting the thought process with visuals.This film is also a portrayal and story of a communication process as i see it,but thats about all i can give away or communicate to you for now :) Some things can be communicated better in film..I will have news soon on when i will be showing the short film first...Thank you for "Staying Tuned"

New Film & Music Project Announcement
i would like to announce my new film & Music project titled "Planters,Stashers,Recipients" .I have been working on this short film for a couple of months here and there and now filming is coming to the latter stages of being complete.So stay tuned here for more updates on the film & music project.Below are 2 still photographs from the filming sessions..i hope you enjoy them stay tuned for the film coming soon.

The Author And The Narrator Album is now available in the U.S.A and worldwide.The New album can be found in a record store near you and the album is also available from a variety of shops online.The Vinyl version of the album comes with a free mp3s download voucher for the album and also a small surprise, and the CD version comes with a full color booklet with more artwork.Mp3 version is available from your usual places like itunes ,amazon,emusic and many more...Here are a couple of cool places to pick up the album in the U.S. below

I am happy to announce i have signed with Karaoke Kalk Records from germany.Karaoke kalk is known for releasing wonderful music projects since 1997. Karaoke kalk will release "The Author And The Narrator" full length album in 2011.More info and a release date of the new full length album coming soon..
